Senior Bowl Announces Community Partnership with the Fuse Project

BOO! PROJECT TURNS HALLOWEEN TRICKERY INTO A COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER

Mobile, AL – The Fust Project and longtime partner, Senior Bowl, announced today that BOO! Project is back for an exciting twist this Halloween season. The 2nd annual BOO! Project is a fundraiser that turns neighborhood trickery into a powerful way to support children’s education.

The Reese's Senior Bowl is about much more than just football. Since its inception in the Port City in 1951, the Senior Bowl has donated over $8 million to youth-related charities along the Gulf Coast. This significant contribution has supported numerous programs aimed at improving the lives of young people in our region. Fuse Project’s partnership with the Senior Bowl is rooted in a common goal: creating a lasting impact on our youth.

Fuse Project invites community members to spread Halloween cheer while making a meaningful impact. Participants can purchase a BOO! Project kit, which includes a spooky yard sign and a festive goody bag. The fun begins when the BOO! sign and treats are secretly delivered to a friend or neighbor's doorstep, continuing the chain of excitement as each recipient passes on the BOO.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  • Order Your BOO! Project Kit: Purchase your kit today at fuseproject.org/boo. The kits are available to residents of Mobile and Baldwin counties, with multiple sign orders delivered to the purchaser’s address for distribution. Deliveries will begin September 27.
  • BOO! Your Friends and Neighbors: Once your kit arrives, it’s time to surprise your neighbors! Place the BOO! sign in their yard and leave the treats at their door. Then, watch as the Halloween fun spreads throughout your neighborhood.
  • Share the Fun: Capture the moment by taking photos and videos of your BOO! escapades. Share them on social media using #BOOProject2024, and don’t forget to tag @fuseproject on Facebook and Instagram to encourage others to join in the fun.
  • Make an Impact: Each BOO! Kit purchased helps fund educational opportunities for students in the Avenue community. Last year, the BOO! Project raised over $10,000 and reached 15 local zip codes. This year, Fuse Project aims to surpass that milestone, with all proceeds supporting early learning and academic programs for children in the Avenue community.

“BOO! Project is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a chance for the community to come together, enjoy the Halloween spirit, and make a lasting difference in the lives of local children,” said Mary Frances Clarke, Development Director of Fuse Project. “Partnering with the Senior Bowl for this project was a no-brainer. They’ve seen our ABC Academic Support program in action and understand firsthand the critical role education plays in shaping bright futures.”

“The Reese’s Senior Bowl is honored to be partnering with Fuse on this year’s BOO! Project,” said Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy. “Our friends at Fuse are impacting the educational trajectory and lives of so many kids in our community so we are thrilled to be included in this fun Halloween event.”

BOO! Project is part of Fuse Project’s Light the Fuse annual fundraising campaign with generous support from all sponsors: Reese’s Senior Bowl, Print King, Harvey and Thomas Orthodontics, and Home RN. Kits will be available for purchase through October 25, 2024, or until supplies last.
