The Senior Bowl is seeking a Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy to join our team! This position will lead all marketing, branding, advertising, and social media efforts to continue strengthening the Senior Bowl locally and nationally.

Who We Are:

The Senior Bowl is widely recognized as the premier college football all-star game and the unofficial initial stage of the NFL draft process. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams and over 1,100 media members from across the country, were credentialed for last year’s game week. The 2024 Senior Bowl produced a record 110 total NFL Draft picks, which accounted for 43 percent of the entire draft class. This includes 10 first-round selections and 45 of the top 100 players. Practices are broadcast on the NFL Network and ESPN, with game coverage exclusively on the NFL Network.

What You’ll Do:

You will lead the Senior Bowl’s marketing and branding efforts from concept to execution. The Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy will direct creative workflow, including social and digital content while ensuring marketing, communication, and advertising efforts are creative, consistent, and correct. This position will foster the growth of external and civic relations & corporate partnerships while working collaboratively for the team's success. Additional liaison duties will include advertising agency point of contact, creative content production, print vendor relations, web design hosting agency, and large-format event production. 

Technical Skills:

Technical skills include Adobe Creative Suite, emphasizing Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere. The Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy will be well-versed in current photography and video equipment usage for creative content production. This position must also be proficient in social media management.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Support all business development, ticketing, player recruitment, and sponsorship streams through targeted campaigns. 
  • Direct the production and design of all content and brand marketing materials, including print items, banners, recruitment resources, radio, television, outdoor billboards, digital programming, and social media.      
  • Manage social media, content creation, and earned media opportunities. 
  • Develop and maintain an 18-month content and communication calendar to ensure the success of marketing and communication campaigns. 
  • Keep staff informed about current marketing, advertising, and social media marketing trends, as well as content creation. 
  • Comply with the marketing and advertising budget, ensuring that print, event management, and advertising efforts are appropriate.

You’ll also need the following qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience with progressive experience directing marketing initiatives within the sports industry highly preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to drive social and digital engagement through targeted campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze data and formulate actions to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, be forward-thinking, and a self-starter in a professional office environment.
  • Knowledge of marketing, advertising, and social media trends.
