The Senior Bowl Charities Celebrity Golf Classic, presented by First Horizon Bank, is held at Lakewood Golf Club on the property of The Grand Hotel (https://www.grand1847.com). This exclusive event pairs 22 foursomes with celebrities from across the football world.
2022 celebrities include 2022 Hall of Fame Inductees former New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk, current Buffalo Bills outside linebacker Von Miller, current Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, former Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, and former San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker Patrick Willis. Along with the Hall of Fame inductees, the Senior Bowl has chosen Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey as 2021 Rookie of the Year.
Also golfing with us this year, will be Green Bay Packers and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Brett Favre, Alabama legend and former Buffalo Bills Cornelius Bennett, Pro Football Hall of Fame and Houston Oilers legend Robert Brazile, former Baltimore Ravens executive Ozzie Newsome, NFL Network television personality Rhett Lewis, Auburn alums Al Del Greco, Ronnie Brown, and Cole Cublic, as well as Alabama alums John Parker Wilson, Richard Todd, EJ Junior, and Jake Coker. Alabama Men's Basketball Head Coach Nate Oats will join us as well. Additional celebrities include Ole Miss and former New Orleans Saints RB Deuce McAllister, former Tennessee Titan Blaine Bishop, LSU alum Jacob Hester, and SEC football legend Sylvester Croom.
2021 participants included: Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne, San Francisco 49ers OL Joe Staley, New Orleans Saints DL Cameron Jordan, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Fred Taylor, Miami Dolphins/Kansas City Chiefs DB Pat Surtain, Carolina Panthers DB Jeremy Chinn, Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin.
Others joining us were all-time greats such as former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning, former Cleveland Browns tight end Ozzie Newsome, and former Houston Oilers outside linebacker Robert Brazile - all members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame - as well as former Mississippi State head coach Sylvester Croom, a member of the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame. Current NFL starts also joined us, including New York Giants QB Daniel Jones and New Orleans Saints QB Ian Book.
Last year, fans also had the opportunity to golf with Alabama alumni QB Jake Coker and QB John Parker Wilson. New Orleans Saints 2021 1st round draft pick Payton Turner, New York Jets RB Lamical Perine and Atlanta Falcons DB Richie Grant, former Auburn RB Ronnie Brown, current Alabama MBB Head Coach Nate Oats, and former Head Coach Gene Chizik joined as well. Mobile, AL Major League Baseball legend Jake Peavy played with us as well. (3x All-Star, 2x World Series Champ, Cy Young Winner).
