Savage debuts on ESPN's 'NFL Insiders'
MOBILE, AL – Senior Bowl Executive Director Phil Savage will be a regular panelist on the new show NFL Insiders, a one-hour weekday pro football-themed show on ESPN. He debuted on the new show on Monday, August 12.
The year-round program focuses on the biggest NFL news stories and information each day, including front office decisions, coaching moves, trades, free agency and the NFL Draft.
Savage is one of several rotating panelists on the show, hosted by ESPN’s Suzy Kolber, enabling him to continue his duties at the Senior Bowl while promoting the game to a national television audience.

"Sports doesn't get any bigger than ESPN and I am honored to be part of this new venture,” Savage said. "And, it certainly is a huge plus for the Senior Bowl to get this kind of exposure to a national audience."
NFL Insiders is designed to give viewers an inside look at how NFL clubs operate, something Savage knows well after spending 20 years in the league as a coach, scout and front office executive – including four years as the General Manager of the Cleveland Browns.
"I am thrilled to get a chance to talk about the behind-the-scenes business of the NFL with some of the real experts in the game like Chris Mortensen, Adam Schefter, Bill Polian and Mel Kiper, Jr., all of whom have been good friends over the years," said Savage, who will do the show a few days out of the month from ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn.
ESPN reporters Mortensen and Schefter will be regulars on the show along with Polian. They will also be joined on the show by draft experts Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay, as well as insider John Clayton.
“Whether it’s in season or out of season, fans crave NFL news and that’s exactly what NFL Insiders will have every day with a smart presentation and some of the most connected people in the league,” said Seth Markman, senior coordinating producer, who oversees ESPN’s NFL studio shows.
NFL Insiders replaced NFL 32 on ESPN’s programming schedule.
